"Lost" Filming Locations

Here are few of the "most prominent" Lost filming locations:

Mokule'ia (Army Beach)

The part of Mokule'ia Beach filmed for the Pilot episode was slightly to the east of later filming locations on this beach. Before the last entrance to Dillingham Airfield (which is the best access point to view the fuselage storage area), you will see Army related structures on your right. The beach here is the general area of Mokule'ia that was filmed for the pilot. The tree marks the arbitrary border along the Mokule'ia coastline between this "east" or "army" beach, with the "Tiger beach" beyond it to the west that was used for subsequent episodes. Even further out is the beach beyond Camp Erdman, used for the tail-enders' scenes. The road was covered with sand during the filming.

Kualoa Ranch (Kaaawa Valley)
This property, as well as much of the surrounding land reaching to other valleys, is owned by Kualoa Ranch. This valley is informally known as "Kualoa Valley" has served as filming location for Lost on numerous occassions as well for feature films such as Godzilla, Jurassic Park, and Pearl Harbor.

YMCA Camp Erdman
This camp area is adjacent to the various areas of Mokule'ia beach used in other episodes. The home interiors, exterior, shower, and path to the Kate's lunch with Ben are here. Note that the hills are much drier than the hills visible in the Other's cage complex, filmed in Paradise Park in the lush Manoa Valley. Lost's production crew did some construction here before filming, adding lanais (porches) to the mauka (mountainside) cabins, painting them bright yellow, and adding the white gazebo.
